I've felt a lot of pain before in my life.
I've felt the pain of grief after I lost my grandfather, I've felt the pain from my first real heartbreak and I've felt unimaginable pain after I was sexually assaulted and almost killed in New York but strangely enough, none of those pains compare to the pain I felt when my best friend of twenty plus years threw my trauma back in my face because she couldn't take accountability for herself.
I can't describe this pain to you but if I had to try then I would say that her words felt like she was repeatedly stabbing me in an open wound and the pain from each stab was even more intense and debilitating than the last one.
