Natalie’s POV
“So Marcus, tell me more about your classes this semester,” I said, staying planted on the opposite side of the kitchen island with my hands busy wiping down the counter.
I kept my tone light and professional, like this was just normal small talk with any of Sarah’s friends.
The cool marble edge pressed into my hips and helped me feel a little more in control even though my thighs were still sticky from earlier.
“Sarah said you guys have economics together. Are you finding it tough or is it clicking for you?”
Marcus rested his forearms on the island, leaning in just enough that his broad shoulders filled my view.
That easy smile stayed on his face while his eyes drifted over my blouse again.
