I entered the concert hall with Asher, finding our seats side by side. Asher’s seat provided an impeccable view of the piano.
Just as I settled in, ready to immerse myself in the music, a familiar figure appeared before me. Calden, dressed in a sleek black suit, descended the stairs and made his way towards me.
My heart sank. How unfortunate to encounter Calden even at a concert.
Calden’s gaze locked onto me, and as he noticed Asher seated beside me, his brows furrowed, his eyes emitting an icy chill. Was Asher my date?
Inside me, Mirelle stirred with unease. ‘Why is he here? Can’t we have one evening without him?’
