The healer finished examining Julia before stepping away from the bed with a satisfied smile.
Ryker had remained beside Julia throughout the entire examination, watching every movement the healer made. He had asked so many questions that Julia had eventually stopped trying to reassure him. Every time the healer checked something, Ryker wanted to know what she was checking, why she was checking it, and whether the result was normal.
Julia found it both endearing and slightly amusing.
