Oh, I had not expected his admittance to this. I stop to gape at him, suddenly wondering where he is going with this. Don't tell me he's developing a guilty conscience and is about to admit everything. I can't have that now. I have plans of my own, and any confession from Kai could ruin everything I've worked toward.
“First?” I repeat, my brows knitting together. “But you said we did it all the time-”
Running a hand through his thick hair, he interrupts me. “I lied, okay? We never got that far before-”
“You lied to me?” My insides are trembling- why? I have no idea, since I already knew this.
