Ashton’s POV Marcus’s Screen is logged onto a website of one of the sports news stations that are talking about a breaking story that has just come in. I press the volume button on the side of the phone, the smooth voice of the anchor filling the quiet room. ‘Yes, it seems that the Devil really is in the details,’ he states, smiling down at the camera as though he’s just made a hysterical joke. ‘It seems that the golden boy of hockey, the beloved and much revered Captain of the Boston Hawks hockey team, Ashton Deneko is not the perfect gentleman that his managers portray him to be.’ I stare at the glowing screen, my chest constricting into my stomach as the anchor’s smug face cuts to a series of carefully positioned yet amateur looking photographs. ‘Yes folks, you are seeing that right
