Ashton’s POV We wander through the sprawling aquarium, lingering at every exhibit so that Luna can see everything she wants. Beth narrates our progress through each room, and I find myself startled by the sheer depth of her memory; she recalls facts from our countless trips over the last three years with impressive clarity. We’re in the final room, which houses a huge, shallow tank designed as a touch pool. Luna hovers at the edge, watching as Beth puts her hand in the cool water to carefully run a finger over the textured back of a starfish. ‘Try it Luna, they don’t mind,’ she urges our Nanny.
