Emma’s POV
Mom and Brooks loved the cake and the cupcakes that we made. Everyone gushed about the strawberry filling that I added to the cakes. I had poked holes in them, and also put it between the layers. I also showed Caleb the different piping techniques. How changing out the tip made different patterns. He was really excited about that part of it. Realizing that he had everything he needed to make his Mom cupcakes. Everyone gushed about how well Caleb had done. He loved the praise and then told them why he made hearts.
“Hearts mean love, and you love each other. So, I thought we should make some for you,” Caleb announced, which filled the room with all of us saying versions of ‘awe’, ‘that’s so sweet’, and ‘how precious.”
