“No, I’m not kidding you, Mrs. Thompson. I’m giving you 2 additional years for obstruction of justice. You’ve lied repeatedly throughout this proceeding. I’m giving you 3 years for hiding material facts, enough to influence the outcome. The last two are at my discretion. You threatened Mrs. Boone with death, inside my courtroom. I am giving you 5 years, the maximum penalty I can, for you doing that. I’ve arrived at your contempt-of-court charges. You have 8 of them total, after repeated warnings to stop interjecting.
