Even I knew he wasn’t going to approve it without proof that she'd requested an evaluation before changing her plea. It was obvious to everyone here that she hadn’t, but she wasn't going to admit that. “Mrs. Thompson, I’m going to ask you again. Who did you speak to about getting an evaluation done? I’m going to need a name, or at least a description, so I can do my due diligence. Why are you refusing to cooperate with this court?” the judge replied. He wasn’t falling for her lies, and I’m glad. Joan was very good at garnering sympathy. But he clearly knew exactly what she was attempting to do.
