Emma’s POV
A Little Over One Week Later:
Colton talked me into bringing Abby in early before I was even discharged from the hospital. He really didn’t have to twist my arm to get me to do it. I was scared of what would happen if I went back to the bakery, terrified that I would be putting my employees at risk, and I just couldn’t take the chance. I didn’t know if he would try again, or if he’d left the area. What I do know is that I’ve been having nightmares for the last week.
I started therapy to deal with the trauma of it all. I knew my grandfather had been looking into what happened. I didn’t even have to ask him to do it; he wanted to find out who was behind it. They didn’t need my input at all. I knew he was on the case, along with the Chattanooga Police Department.
