I watched Olivia silently as she stormed out of my office. I felt a pang of guilt because of the way I had just treated her. Her visit caught me off guard because I wasn’t expecting her to show up at my house.
I wasn’t in the right headspace to speak with her and I had no idea how to control my emotions. I was still angry at what she did and I didn’t know how to hide it.
A part of me wanted to call her back, but I just decided to let her go. Besides, I was still going to see her later in the day when it was time for the kids to go home.
