Alexander insisted on taking the kids to their party. Amanda was already there to ensure that everything went smoothly.
I went over to my mum’s house to pick her up so we could attend together. When I arrived at the house, she was having lunch.
“Mum, you know there’s plenty of food at the party. You don’t have to eat before going there.” I said with a chuckle as I settled down beside her at the dining table.
My mum laughed. “I’m sorry, I just didn’t have anything to eat for breakfast.” She raised her hands in mock surrender.
I picked up a cutlery from the table and joined her in eating. I couldn’t resist eating my mum’s food. One could say she was the best cook in the whole world.
