Chapter 85

1301 Words

Aria By midday, the sun hung high above Santorini, bathing the island in warm, golden light. The sky was impossibly blue, stretching endlessly over the Aegean, and the white villas along the cliffs gleamed so brightly that they almost looked unreal. The water in the pool shimmered like liquid glass, reflecting the sunlight in rippling patterns across the marble tiles. For a moment, I simply breathed it in. The warmth. The quiet. The strange, dreamlike feeling of being somewhere far away from everything familiar. Behind me, the sliding glass door opened. “Wow.”
