Aria’s POV The hospital doors slid open with a hiss, cold air rushing in as the stretcher emerged. Nurses moved swiftly, their voices calm and practiced. Ethan never let go of Sophia’s hand until the very last second. “Do everything you can,” he said, his voice low, raw around the edges. “And somebody leg Mr Evans.” A nurse with brown hair ran to him and said, "We can't sir, he's abroad of a major surgery." Ethan sighed heavily before turning his gaze to me. Like he's trying to ask what we do next. "Aria, what do you think we should do?" He asked, searching my face for answers. He crossed the distance in two long strides, cupping my face in his warm hands before I could speak. He hugged me tightly. When he pulled back, his forehead rested against mine, his breath mingling with mine.
