Natalia “Damon!” I rushed forward, pushing past the stunned warriors and dropping to my knees beside him. His face was slack, and a trickle of blood was running from his temple where Andrei had struck him. I pressed my fingers to his neck, feeling for a pulse. It was there. Relief washed over me, only to be immediately replaced by fury as I looked up to find Andrei standing over us. “What the f**k did you do?” I hissed. “He’ll be fine.
