I will miss my father and I’m sad for the stress that he will undoubtedly take on now that I’m gone, but I can’t give up my life to take care of him and his pack. He has a mate and Luna for that. He needs to figure things out with her.
“How do you think your parents will feel about you finding your mate, Will?” I ask, watching my exceptionally handsome mate while he drives.
“They’ll be ecstatic. They have a fated mate bond, and I’ve always wanted what they have,” he says, turning to look at me. “I just had no idea how incredible it would be.”
I smile. “I didn’t either. I remember my mother and father together when she was alive. I knew at a young age that was what I wanted, but, like you, I had no idea it would be this amazing.”
