Daniel tosses me a t-shirt as I take off to find Gabriel and Jack. I’d smelled their scents close to Kaelin’s, but they could easily explain that with excuses. What will be more difficult will be explaining that they told the patrols that there was no danger, when clearly there was.
I jog up the steps to the Beta floor, the floor that will be mine and Daniel’s soon. I have no doubt I can defeat Gabriel in a battle for the Beta position. The man is ridiculously lazy and barely worth the title of warrior, much less Beta, even with the training that Sloane and I have implemented recently.
