Eralia’s POV
‘The doctor has said that Austin is OK to be released,’ Margo’s words swirl around me as she looks down at me apprehensively. I knew it would happen, but I didn’t think it would be the very next day, I thought we had a few more days before this would happen.
‘But where will he go?’ I ask in panic, ‘are they sure I can’t leave yet? I feel stronger, I think I will be OK.’
Margo shakes her head regretfully, ‘you are not ready to leave Eralia, I’m sorry, but Austin is and . . . they need the bed. CPS have already been in contact with me, they are recommending foster care, just while you are in here, they are actively looking for a family who will take Liberty too when she is released and hopefully Tanner as well . . . once he’s better . . .’
