After seeing the doctor, Celeste and I decided to head over to one of our favorite spots. We wanted to hang out for a while and have lunch before heading back home.
But on our way there, Celeste abruptly stopped the car.
“What’s going on?” I asked, raising a skeptical brow at her.
“I think someone is following us.” She said, her voice tense.
“What?” I gasped. “How do you know?”
“They’ve been taking all the same turns we’ve been taking. I thought it was just a coincidence at first, but I’m certain that they are following us.”
My heart started pounding in my chest.
I slowly turned around and confirmed that Celeste was right when I saw that the car she said was following us also parked when she stopped.
Why were they following us, and how long
