“Are you done packing your bags?” I yelled loud enough for Valerie to hear through the door. “You need to hurry up. I’ll go check on Liam.”
“Okay, I’ll be done soon.”
After she responded, I made my way over to Liam’s room. The nanny had already packed a bag for him. He smiled and pulled me into a tight hug as soon as he saw me.
“I’m so excited to go on this trip.” He exclaimed.
“Yes. Everyone is excited.” I replied as I lifted him.
“I can’t wait to tell my friends in school about my experience.”
I couldn’t help but laugh. Liam was finally making friends in his school and I was grateful for that. “I’m sure they’ll be happy to listen to you.”
