“What are you doing here?” I asked, my voice faint.
Jamal turned around as soon as he heard my voice. A confused expression registered on my face when he pulled me into a warm hug.
What was happening?
“Are you okay? I’ve been trying to reach you. I had to come down here to find you.” He said, letting out a relieved breath.
I was still confused.
“Why have you been trying to reach me?”
Jamal hesitated for a while, then he cleared his throat and continued. “Patrick reached out to me. He said Liam wasn’t feeling fine and you weren’t responding.”
“Oh,” I muttered under my breath.
It now made sense why he came to my house.
“Yeah, I’ve finally spoken to him,” I said, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ears. “Thank you for coming, I guess.”
