“Why didn't you tell me that you were taking the kids to school? They left without saying goodbye.” Patrick asked as soon as I stepped into the living room.
I shot him a blank stare, eyebrows furrowed in mild confusion. “I had no idea you were awake, and I didn’t want them to disturb you…I thought you had work today.”
He shook his head. “No, I’m taking a day off, Fredrick is coming into the office.” He replied, intertwining his fingers with Isla who was sitting on his lap.
I blinked. “So that’s how it’s going to be? You’ll skip going to work whenever Fredrick shows up at the office?”
Patrick nodded. “Exactly.”
I sat down on the couch across from him. “Are you serious? What if you have a meeting with an important client?”
He shrugged his shoulders
