After the text was delivered, I stared at Jamal's name on my phone, my fingers hovering around the call button. Different waves of emotions swirled through me — excitement, nervousness, and a hint of guilt.
I wasn’t sure how he would react to the news. Or what it would mean for us. Letting out a deep sigh, I finally pressed the call button.
