Jordan called me a few minutes ago, but I didn’t respond because I was trying to get Isla to sleep. By the time I was done and about to call him, I saw an incoming call from Blair.
Letting out a deep sigh, I answered the phone.
“Hey, how are you doing?” I asked, trying to steady my voice.
“I’m okay, Valerie. Jordan actually asked me to call you.” She replied, her voice tender. “He wants to speak to you.” She added.
Jordan must’ve felt like I was ignoring him.
“Oh, it’s fine. I was even about calling him.”
A few moments later, Jordan was on the phone.
“Hey.” His voice was measured as he spoke.
“Jordan, how are you?” I asked, letting out a sharp exhale.
