Evening
Vincenzo returned to his room and unlocked the door quietly. The lights flicked on, revealing Seraphina was so lost in the movie that she didn’t notice him coming in. He moved closer on silent feet, a small smirk forming as he reached out and touched her shoulder.
She jumped so hard that the remote flew from her hand. A terrified scream tore from her throat.
“It’s me!” Vincenzo shouted quickly and clamped a hand over her mouth before anyone nearby could hear. “It’s just me, calm down,” he said, his voice softer now.
Her body went weak against him. She collapsed into his chest, breathing fast, trying to calm her pounding heart. He chuckled quietly untying her. “Relax princess,” he murmured. “You’re safe.”
When her hands and legs were free, she sank onto the bed, glaring at him
