I learned a lot yesterday talking with River’s friends. Grace and Trish opened up very freely to me about what happened. I guess knowing your best friend is dying really makes you reconsider things.
They clearly regret what they were doing, though I don’t fault or blame them they surely do.
I’m sure River doesn’t either. It’s pretty normal for a teenager to rebel and think they want something different. I did it, but I don’t think I know of anyone that didn’t come right back after a day or two.
This is the quest possible case scenario and frankly having vampires on this continent is an issue we weren’t aware of let alone this far inward and in the mountains where there’s not a whole lot of people is more concerning than acting I can think of.
