Laura After Stephen and myself got back to New York after my mother’s funeral, something changed in me. I was there but I wasn’t. I was definitely numb inside. There were days, I was forcing myself to just get out of bed, so I could go to work. Today wasn’t any different, I went to the office with Stephen to work. Around noon, I finished what I needed and came back to the penthouse. I got undressed and crawled into our bed, laying on my side. When Stephen got home, that’s where he found me. I heard him sigh, and felt the bed dip. His arm wrapped around me, as he pulled me to his body. “Hey firecracker.” Stephen whispered in my ear. “Hey.” I said, turning my head towards him. “Laura, we need to talk. I know you're grieving and everyone grieves differently. But this isn’t healthy.”
