Stephen I was standing in the cemetery with Laura. Her mother was just laid to rest. Everyone was leaving to go to the wake at the firehall. When I heard Laura and her father talking about a firehall wake for her mother, I was surprised because that was something I had never heard of. We didn’t do that in New York. Her dad said it was an Irish thing and left it at that. But I think it was more a community thing. Everyone around this area has come by with food or just to check up on Laura and her father.
