It’s been a week since we found out that Laura is pregnant. I know she wants to keep it a secret, but it’s becoming increasingly difficult with my mother living with us.
Laura has experienced morning sickness three times already, and certain smells are affecting her. My mother can’t seem to figure out why she is reacting badly to perfume.
I didn’t understand at first, but Laura explained that she told my mother that was the reason she was feeling sick—because of the smell of eggs. My mother thinks the heat from the perfumes packed in her suitcase spoiled the fragrance.
I’m not even sure if that’s possible, but it’s something my mother is blaming on Laura. Honestly, I’m feeling stressed about keeping this pregnancy a secret.
