I have to give it to Laura, she really tries to have normal moments with my mother. And to be honest, I’m surprised my mother even goes with it. But then again, going broke for a few hours might have forced my mother to do that too.
I admit sometimes these Sunday breakfasts are entertaining but today’s isn’t one of them. In fact, I think my mother was actually being a bit bitchy this morning about this stupid plant thing and our date we want for our wedding.
Sentimental dates do not mean anything to my family. Trust me I know from experience. That’s why my mother could care less that we want to marry on the day we met for the first time.
