‘This is Taiga’ Ellie murmurs, glancing shyly at the woman beside her, ‘my Mate.’
Taiga’s smile widen at her words, and she cuddles closer to the warrior, placing her hand on the woman’s arm affectionately.
‘It’s lovely to meet you Taiga, you are friends with my sister Lauren, right?’ I reply, smiling at the girl as she nods enthusiastically.
‘That’s right’ she replies, ‘we became friends after she was injured earlier in the year.’
