Sarah’s POV
Held tightly against Sebastian’s side, we walked back to my mother’s cottage.
“Your father is going to be overwhelmed with you and Naevia.”
I leaned my head against his chest. “That is why I wanted him to see her first. That was more of a shock. I’m more like a prize.”
He spun me around and kissed me. “That you are.” He pulled at me to jump up. I did and locked my legs around his waist. “But you’re my prize, not his.” He kissed me and I laughed. I ran my fingers through his hair. I liked it longer, it made him rugged. Not a duke at all.
He had shown me images of his dreams with me, but nothing of life outside of that. I dropped down and was quickly molded to Sebastian’s side. It made me grin ear to ear that he wanted me close. But it also made me sad. How alone had he felt
