Parker’s POV
The day the trial started. I was ready to get this whole episode over with. The federal prosecutor assured me it was a slam-dunk case. He doubted the trial would even last two days with all the evidence that we had. He told us that he's been prosecuting criminals for over twenty years and advised that this trial was almost a gift. We handed over the proof to him from the beginning. He was ready for this to go to court.
He knew the defense attorney, and they had a history of bad blood. He had been slowly handing over the evidence over the last two months. He held back the most damning evidence for last, under the guise of having it verified as untampered. Nolan’s attorney tried to act confident, but it seems he knew his client was destined for prison.
