Parker’s POV
Things have smoothed out for the last few months. We have a pattern down now. I still stay home most of the time, but I do go to the park with Caleb on Sundays. I knew Caden was still upset about passing out, but both Colton and I explained why it happened to him. It wasn’t truly the fear of the gun. It was fear that Nolan would come after me.
Nolan was furious with Caden for ‘stealing me away from him,’ and he wanted him dead. Nolan seemed to be under the impression that if Caden were dead, I would come back to him. Which simply isn’t true. I knew some of the underlying factors that led to Caden blacking out. He hadn’t been sleeping through the night. Getting up to check for any foreign noise outside. He did that so I could sleep, and it wasn’t a fair tradeoff
