“Target located,” Brandon called through the earpiece. “He’s in a tree fifty feet to the south of the gate, at the center of the tree.”
I almost sagged with relief once I heard him say those words. I was starting to think that Nolan wasn’t going to show himself.
“Gun up. I have a visual and a non-lethal solution,” Sergeant West replied.
“Gun up. I have a visual and a lethal solution,” Tracey answered.
“Your call, Sergeant. If you can take him down and into custody, that would be best. Killing him is too easy. He would hate the trial and being sent to prison much more than a quick end,” I quietly spoke into my collar, where I hid my mic.
