Parker’s POV
I heard the shots come from downstairs before my phone sent me a notification that my camera had been triggered. I felt sick when I saw Nolan running away from my house. I was terrified for Caden and Colton. I would never get over it if something happened to either of them.
I told Jeffrey that Nolan was escaping, and he told me to stay put. But I couldn’t. I needed to see Caden and make sure he was safe. I followed Jeffrey down the stairs, and he tried to stop me again.
“Ma’am, he could double back here to try to get you. You need to stay upstairs,” Jeffrey told me.
