Chapter 109
Parker’s POV
I called Caden’s phone after I got the text that Caleb’s bath was done, and he was ready for bed. I had picked out some books from his room as I knew that he would want me to read two of them. He always does. I grabbed his favorites and got comfortable as Caleb told me about his new tub toy that Della had bought him. His joy was contagious, and I was smiling as I spoke to him. That little boy had wormed his way into my heart, and I never saw it coming. I missed him much more than I anticipated.
“Are you ready? Which book do you want to hear first?” I asked.
I settled in and started to read to him. Pausing as Caleb made comments about the books, as he always did. He's such a smart little guy. It’s wonderful that he loves me enough to want to call me his mothe
