Nolan’s POV
I ended up going back to Ginger’s house after all. I had been thinking about how to approach this problem for hours. It was two in the morning, and my best idea was not to come in from the street. I was going to borrow Ginger’s father’s fishing boat and go get her that way. The house was near the end of a dead-end street. I couldn’t get hemmed in like that; I'd end up being trapped.
I wasn’t even going to tie the boat up to the dock when I got back. I was going to zip tie Parker’s hands as soon as I had her and then load her into the back seat of my truck. Then I could just drive to my hunting cabin on my family's land. I'll buy us some food when I get closer. I'll make very sure that I take very good care of Parker until she's ready to forgive me.
