The nobleman’s brother bought my act and let me go. He dropped me off on the side of the road leaving me to find my way to the hospital.
By the time I finally got in, it was too late to go so I ended up back home. I waited for Alex to return, but he never did. The house remained empty, each echoed sound reminding me of his absence.
Because he didn’t return, I was unable to retrieve my car or get it fixed so I took the bus to the hospital. As usual, the nurses ignored me and treated me like the f*****g plague. I was used to it by now, and I knew it was only a matter of time before they were forced to acknowledge me again.
