For the first few days after we told Effie and everyone else that Bear didn't make it, I didn't leave the house. I stayed right by Effie's side with her. She was taking it so hard, and I was worried about her. I hated having to do this to her. But everyone swore that it was the only way. f**k Bear swore that it was the only way.
The first day that I ended up having to leave the house was because he got the go-ahead from Doc to leave. He was healing up nicely and was able to move without any problems. Doc was able to remove his stitches and put those zip stitches on both places that needed them. When they were ready to be removed, all he had to do was pull them off. Doc was going to video call him beforehand, though, so that he could look at it first. They had it all planned out
