The first rifle shot echoed across the abandoned rail yard and every instinct I had screamed at me to move before the second one came and Raze grabbed my arm. “Down.” He yelled. “I don’t take orders from you.” I snapped. “You will if you want to stay alive.” He said. Another shot cracked through the evening air while concrete splintered beside the old platform and I dropped behind a rusted maintenance barrier just as Drake appeared from the treeline with his pistol already drawn.
