“You have proof?” I asked.
“No.” He said.
“Then how do you know?” I asked and Finn laughed bitterly.
“Because Raze wanted me to know.” He said.
That answer chilled me, not because it helped but because it complicated everything.
The storage unit door opened suddenly and Drake stepped inside. His patience had clearly expired.
“Time’s up.” Drake said and Finn looked toward him.
“You think he’s manipulating me?” Finn asked.
“Yes.” Drake said and the answer came instantly.
“Maybe he is.” Finn nodded as Drake frowned.
“Then stop repeating this crap.” Drake said.
“I heard what I heard.” Finn said.
The tension between them felt ready to explode again.
Before either could continue Blade stepped into the doorway and his expression looked colder than usual. Much colder.
