Rachel's Pov
That morning when I walked into the office people looked at me different. Some whispered when I passed their desks and others stopped talking sudden. I went to my cubicle and tried to ignore it but my stomach felt tight. By ten o'clock an email came from upper management asking me to come to a performance review at eleven. I knew it was not normal because reviews were supposed to be next month.
I sat in the small conference room waiting and the director came in with HR. They asked questions about my work and then about office relationships. They said a rumor was going around that someone was breaking the no fraternization rule.
They did not name names but watched my face close. I kept calm and said I knew the policy and followed it. They let me go but told me to be careful.
