Rachel's Pov
I typed the last words of my resignation letter and printed it out. Jethro did the same in the other room. We decided to hand them in on the same day but separate so nobody would connect it direct to us.
The rumor had died down a little but we knew management still watched. We did not want to give them any reason to dig more. My letter just said I found a new opportunity and thanked them for the years. His said the same without naming each other.
That morning we drove to the office in separate cars like always. I went to my manager first and gave the envelope. She looked surprised but wished me luck. I cleaned out my desk quick and said goodbye to a few people. Jethro did his around lunch time. We left the building for the last time without looking back.
