"Mommy! It’s raining," I heard Imogen yell from outside excitedly, reminding me of carefree times in the human world. Even when I had so much to worry about there, I still felt pretty free and enjoyed my freedom.
Last night was odd. I woke up happy, recalling what the doctor had told me. When I came downstairs, I found Darren and the kids cooking breakfast in the kitchen. Kage had left sometime earlier, so I didn't know about him. However, we were able to sit together like a family and eat without any interruptions. Kage had not returned so far. As for Darren and Elijah, they were in the living room, playing video games.
"Imogen! Don't play in the rain, you'll catch a cold," I rushed out of the kitchen, leaving the cookies in the oven, to check on Imogen.
"Mommy! join me.
