Darren carried me to the car, still concerned about leaving my kids with that awful person.
"Don't worry, I don't think he'll hurt the kids," Darren said, noticing my anxiety. He drove carefully to our destination, also making sure we weren't spotted by any troublemakers.
At this point, many people knew there was a person wandering around. I was worried about his safety, but he didn't seem to care much about himself.
"You don't know what he's capable of. He's a big liar, and he's so good at it that you wouldn't even suspect him," I said, feeling relieved to talk about it.
"Darren, I think I'm feeling better now. We should head back home," I suggested, not wanting to waste any more time away from my kids. Leaving them with Kage wasn't a good idea.
