"Where are we heading tonight?" My human probed, attempting to decipher my thoughts and plans. It had been years I'd been awaiting this day.
"I've found her," I replied.
"Oh, come on. Don't you remember what happened last time with these people? Why can't we just move on and live our own lives?" Of course, Kage wouldn't understand.
"This is my life," I retorted, rolling my eyes at him.
"I thought you'd choose freedom over revenge," Kage grunted, but I remained focused on my goal.
"It's not revenge. It's my way of ensuring I don't meet my end," I explained, striding into the bar clad in a black suit, drawing attention.
As expected, women threw themselves at me, but tonight, my sights were set on my target. She looked bright and gorgeous.
