‘Ugh, that silly girl doesn't know how to look after herself,’ I grumbled as I hurried into the kitchen to grab my cellphone and instruct my guards to stay vigilant and watch over the mansion while I took Love to the hospital.
‘I don't think she wants to go to the hospital with us,’ Kage observed, stating the obvious.
‘We heard her say that. But do you think she meant it? Of course, she needs us right now,’ I rolled my eyes at my friend, honestly finding him a bit naive. He seemed oblivious to how the mate bond works.
‘When a mate is in trouble or pain, only a mate can ease their suffering. She might not admit it, but she feels better when we're around her,’ I explained, shaking my head.
‘But her wolf is sleeping, so she's not even feeling anything towards us,’ Kage countered.
