"Where's my mommy?" Imogen asked again, causing me to frown in exhaustion.
"She's out with your uncle Darren. Now, go back to sleep," I grumbled as Imogen stood before me, clutching her teddy in her arms.
"Where did she go?" she continued to pester me. I hadn't asked for these troublemakers to be left behind to bother me. I just wanted to make a statement, and I did. But now, this demon of a child was getting on my nerves, constantly bothering me.
"Where is mommy?" she insisted, stomping her foot and causing me to uncover my face from my hands to stare at her.
"I swallowed your mommy," I said, "and then I swallowed your uncle Darren too. Now, if you don't shut up, I'll gobble you up too," I muttered, revealing a hint of my animalistic side by changing my eye color.
